About Tee Da Plug:
At first listen to the brooding bass drums and spacey xylophone notes on “Stunna,” it’s easy to pinpoint Tee Da Plug’s regional musical influences.
But the Alabama native and rising high school senior offers more to rap and hip-hop production beyond trap-inspired music. From the melodic layered piano arrangements on “Gettin’ Wavy AF” to the masterfully gelled keys and electric guitar riff on “Forget About Her,” Tee Da Plug’s debut into rap production offers artists a diverse array of styles and vibes.
TDP is “very eager” to work full-time – for a lifetime – in the music industry. His path begins with the launch of his music site, where artists can purchase beats via three different lease options.
Listeners and musicians who visit TeeDaPlug.com may sense the production influences from noted producers such as Metro Boomin and Zaytoven, but TDP also draws inspiration from more personal influences, such as his band teacher, Selwyn Reed.
Though he faces the daily challenges of staying motivated and navigating the learning curve of a young producer, TDP aims to one day work with his favorite artists, such as Roddy Ricch, Kendrick Lamar, Young Nudy, and Money Man, among others.
His trajectory has already taken an interesting path, with his favorite beat, “Since When” that he created in July 2019.
“I sold that beat to a French label, and it’s special to me because it was the first time anybody outside of the U.S. had used one of my beats.”
